The 2011 Regal is all new, and the American auto maker hopes it will attract a younger-than-typical shopper to their showrooms.

GM's new direct-injected 2.4 liter Ecotec engine is available in Regal, with Variable Valve Timing (VVT), direct injection and all-aluminum construction to help keep fuel consumption to a minimum. It produces 182 horsepower and connects with a six-speed automatic. This powertrain combo creates fantastic fuel consumption ratings in its class.

Even before Buick began selling the high-performance turbocharged version of their 2011 Buick Regal mid-size sedan, they already started to produce a higher-performing model. It's based on this GS show car that made the car-show circuit the past year.
