2014 Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee was first offered in the United States in 1974, and while the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee is completely redesigned it does share some classic Jeep design cues. The design has gone away from boxiness but maintains a "Jeep-ness" with the 7 slot front grill and trapezoidal wheel arches.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee is blazing new trails in technology, family-friendly features and high-tech amenities.

The Jeep Cherokee is available in 2-wheel drive or 4x4. The following drivetrain technologies are available on the Cherokee:
  • Jeep Active Drive I (All Purpose All-Wheel-Drive available on the Cherokee Sport, Latitude and Limited)
  • Jeep Active Drive II (Includes a two-speed Power Transfer Unit for high-range four-wheel drive and low-range with enhanced climbing ability and crawl ratio)
  • Jeep Active Drive Lock (Available in the Trailhawk model the only vehicle in the segment that offers a locking rear differential for additional traction)
  • Selec-Terrain All four-wheel-drive Cherokees have Jeep's Selec-Terrain system, a dial/press-button interface that allows the driver to choose between auto, snow, mud/sand, sport, and rock traction modes.

Driver-Assist technologies are available on the 2014 Cherokee including:
  • Forward Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation
  • LaneSense Lane Departure Warning
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Adaptive Cruise Control and Stop and Go
  • Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee isn't the same as the Cherokee that first launched in 1974, the new Cherokee has modern aero-styling, a beautiful interior with great features, remarkable fuel economy, true handling prowess, confidence-inspiring safety features, and outstanding drivetrain and driver-assist technologies.
