Can you tell me about the Durango SRT Hellcat's power?
Dodge has engineered the Durango SRT Hellcat to push the boundaries of what an SUV is supposed to be! Under the hood of this beast, Dodge placed a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI Hellcat V8 engine that cranks out 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed TorqueFlite 8HP95 automatic transmission. Dodge's SRT engineers improved the Durango SRT Hellcat's with several race inspired technologies including an upgraded suspension that delivers more comfort in Auto mode and enhanced handling in Track mode. This upgraded suspension also delivers more stability when rounding corners, more grip with reduced understeer, and more responsiveness with 20% increase in total rebound control.
How can driver's control their experience in the Durnago SRT Hellcat?
The Durango SRT Hellcat comes standard with electric power steering and SRT drive modes that can be accessed with the SUV's new 10.1-inch touchscreen. This allows drivers to tailor their experience behind the wheel by controlling the suspension settings, all-wheel drive, paddle shifters, transmission shift speeds, traction, and steering. The SRT Drive modes offer selectable settings for Track, Sport, and Street (Auto), and Custom which lets drivers choose individual preferences. Further blistering performance, the SRT Hellcat model comes with additional race inspired technologies. Launch Control manages tire slip while launching the SUV so the driver can keep consistent straight-line acceleration. Launch Assist watches for driveline-damaging wheel hop at launch with wheel speed sensors. This feature can modify the engine torque to regain full grip in just milliseconds!
What can you tell me about the Durango SRT Hellcat's design?
The Durango SRT Hellcat is distinctly Dodge with aggressive styling and a muscular body. The forward leaning profile takes design cues from the Charger Widebody model, outfitting the SUV with a new rear spoiler, grille, sculpted hood, signature LED daytime running lamps, LED low/high headlamps, and front fascia. The new headlamps are thinner than previous model years, creating a more sinister look that lets others on the road know that this Dodge means business. Inside, the Durango SRT Hellcat comes with a new 10.1-inch touchscreen, Dodge's Uconnect 5 infotainment system, a driver-oriented instrument panel, fully electronic, performance-inspired shifter controls, and a new flat-bottom performance steering wheel.
