The Compass is a sporty and agile crossover SUV with plenty of power! The whole range for 2022 features the 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder engine, which supplies the Compass with 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive comes standard on the first two trim levels, as does a 6-speed automatic transmission. Upper trim levels have 4-wheel drive, which pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the Compass can tow up to 2,000 pounds, and the upper three trims also feature the Selec-Terrain Traction Management system with multiple drive modes that you can toggle between based on your road conditions. It also has steel underbody skid plates, front tow hooks, and a specialized 4X4 system called Active Drive Low that provides a 20:1 crawl ratio perfect for rocky terrain.

As we mentioned above, the Jeep Compass has undergone a redesign for 2022, with an overall sleeker look and feel. From the outside, you'll find slim LED horizontal headlights, framing a more streamlined, understated version of the ever-popular 7-slot grille. The wheels measure up to 18 inches depending on the trim level you choose, and are made from strong yet lightweight aluminum. Inside, the Compass comes with a five-seat layout, and you can even fold down the rear seats to increase your rear cargo area. The new Latitude LUX trim aims to integrate more luxurious features into the lineup's mid-range, and includes leather-trimmed heated seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient LED overhead lighting, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. In addition to te Trailhawk's sporty capabilities, it also has a bolder, more athletic appearance including a black and red anti-glare hood decal, and a tapered front end thanks to its 30-degree approach angle. The Limited trim tops off the list with features like a Gloss Black roof, and stylish Burnished Copper accent stitching on its Slate Grey leather seats.

In keeping with its new sleek redesign, the Jeep Compass now features a wealth of modern new technology. This includes the Uconnect 5 system, the newest generation of the technology, with a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen. The system comes with standard wireless smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot. On upper trim levels, you'll also find features like a premium Alpine sound system, and a wireless smartphone charging pad built into the center console. This new technology also carries over into the Compass's safety features, which include adaptive cruise control with stop and go, active lane management, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and forward-collision warning. All these features now come standard on the 2022 Jeep Compass, helping you drive with confidence. There are other, more advanced features also available, like a 360-degree surround-view camera that gives you a top-down view of your vehicle.
