What are my shipping options?

We are happy to help you navigate your shipping options. We have several shipping companies that we can recommend that our customers have worked with in the past. Common shipping terms include:

  • Open Carrier - You've seen these trucks, 10 cars on a truck, running down the highway. This is the most economical way to transport, but because of the risk of additional rock and element damage, many higher dollar and specialty cars must be shipped enclosed carrier.
  • Enclosed Carrier - Your vehicle can be transported in a closed container, this eliminates the damage that can come from exposure to the road and the elements, This is typically several hundred dollars more in cost.
  • Insurance - All vehicles are covered by insurance while in transport, you will need to provide insurance once you take delivery of the vehicle.

What forms of payment does Dave Smith Motors accept?

We are happy to arrange financing for you, and if you are looking to "pay cash", we accept financing checks from your local bank or credit union, or certified cashier checks drawn on US Banks in US funds.

Does Dave Smith Motors do any financing?

How does the buying process work?

We make the out-of-state buying process as easy as possible! Purchase from Out of State

  • Enquirer or Call about Vehicle
  • Contact each other through Email/Phone to finalize the transaction
  • We FedEx the finalization documents to each other
  • When funding is finalized, we prep the vehicle for shipping
  • We send the vehicle with the shipping company you are working with, you send the signed bill of sale, and we FedEx all title documentation
  • Transaction Complete!

What type of service do you do to the cars before selling them?

All vehicles sold are professionally cleaned before sale. Any mechanical issues noted during inspection and are addressed before the vehicle is sold. Issues that we elect not to fix are disclosed in our web listings.
