2021 Ram 1500 vs 2021 Nissan TITAN

The full-size pickup truck market is extremely competitive. So it's time to determine which truck is better. The Ram 1500 or Nissan Titan? Which truck should you buy? The team at Dave Smith Motors wanted to see how they would compete in the power, handle, comfort, and design. So let's see how they did!

2021 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

The Ram 1500 offers five outstandingly powerful engines. First, the best-in-class 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with eTorque uses advanced technologies to deliver power and efficiency while also providing a towing capacity of 7,730, 305 horsepower, and 269 lb-ft of torque. Next, the renowned 5.7L HEMI V8 engine offers the legendary power you've come to expect from the HEMI name. This V8 offers 395 horsepower and will deliver a towing capacity of 11,610! Ram took this same 5.7L HEMI V8 engine and added a class-exclusive eTorque Mild Hybrid Technology offering an outstanding gas towing capacity of up to 12,750 pounds, so you have the ability to tow what you need where you need it. For those who prefer diesel, a powerful and efficient 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine achieves best-in-class 480 lb-ft of diesel torque and a diesel towing capacity of 12,560 pounds. Lastly is Ram's powerhouse, the 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 engine with 702 horsepower. This beast will jump from 0-60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds and has a max speed of 118 MPH.

2021 Nissan TITAN Power & Handling

Every 2021 Nissan TITAN comes with a direct-injected 5.6-liter V8 engine that puts the strength of a technological powerhouse under your foot. TITAN's engine provides the most standard horsepower and torque in its class. It features Direct Injection, a 4-valve-per-cylinder design, and Variable Valve Event and Lift technology. It all adds up to power, efficiency, and refinement you can feel. A 9-speed automatic transmission delivers that energy to the rear wheels as a standard feature. All-wheel drive is available though. Unfortunately, the only way to achieve these numbers is by using premium gasoline. But 87-octane gasoline won't hurt. The TITAN comes with a full-length, fully-boxed ladder frame reinforced in key areas to help fight torsional twists. The reinforced double-wishbone front suspension with large rear leaf springs and bushings help handle up to 1,690-lb. payloads. The 13.8-inch front and 13.6-inch rear 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes help give stopping power when carrying massive loads.

2021 Ram 1500 Features & Design

The Ram 1500 offers the most luxurious interior in its class, thanks to the distinctive interior colors, details, and premium materials. Drivers can keep their eyes on the road while also knowing vital information with the Heads up display. The new available Digital Rearview Mirror features an LCD monitor that, when switched on, provides a real-time video stream from a rear-facing camera. The 1500 features an advanced 12-inch touchscreen and the Uconnect 12.0 with Navigation. This system boasts a customizable home screen with split-screen capability, pinch-and-zoom technology, and physical controls for key features.

2021 Nissan TITAN Features & Design

The 2021 TITAN comes in two cab sizes, King and Crew. The King Cab offers rear-hinge style back doors, and the Crew Cab comes with four conventional doors. No matter the cab size, it seats five. Unless you order a base S model with a front bench, then it will seat six. The available smartphone/tablet holder holds two smartphones or a single tablet. Back-seat passengers will appreciate having two USB outlets, rear air vents, an available 120-V AC outlet, and adjustable heated seats. The 12-speaker/485-watt Fender-branded audio system fills the roomy cab with crisp, clear sounds.

Conclusion:

The Ram 1500 is clearly the winner here. It offers greater head- and legroom, plus you will definitely be making fewer stops to the gas station than with the Nissan Titan. Oh, and let's not forget it blows the doors off the TITAN in the power category. So if you would like to test drive the luxurious and powerful 2021 Ram 1500, then come to Dave Smith Motors! We have plenty in stock and ready for you to take home.
