What engines are available for the 2022 Challenger?

There are several engines available for the Challenger, and no matter which one you go with, you're assured a ton of power! The first two trims, the SXT and the GT, come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 which pumps out a solid 303 horsepower and comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive comes standard, but all-wheel-drive comes available on these trims. If you decide on the R/T, you will get the first of the V8 engine options. In this case, it's a 5.7-liter V8 that pumps out 375 horsepower with a six-speed manual transmission or 372 horsepower with the eight-speed automatic. On the R/T Scat Pack, you get a standard 6.4-liter V8 with 485 horsepower, and you can decide on either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. The final engine is available for the SRT Hellcat, which gets you a pavement-pounding 717 horsepower, which can be upped to 797 horsepower on the Redeye, and a mind-boggling 807 horsepower on the SRT Super Stock!

What are the standard features for the Challenger?

Not only can the Challenger pound the pavement with its excellent engine options, but you also get a ton of standard features. The base trim level is the SXT which comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, keyless entry/ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth upholstery with a cool houndstooth pattern, 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Several tech features come standard for the Challenger, including a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, voice control, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker audio system. Forward Collision Warning also comes standard.

What do higher level trims of the Challenger offer?

All-wheel-drive is available for both the SXT and the GT, and on the GT and above, you get some spectacular features such as upgraded Brembo brakes, limited-slip differentials, active exhaust systems, launch control, Widebody packages, larger alloy wheels, configurable driving modes, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and satellite radio. On the R/T and higher, not only are you getting some incredible power, but you also get an adaptive suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. On top of all the standard features, several option packages are available. One is a Drivers Convenience Group with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, remote start, and rear parking sensors. There is also a Technology Group with automatic high beams, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control!
