What powers the 2022 Ram 1500?
There are several engine options available for the Ram 1500, and each one is incredibly powerful. Most trims will come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This can be upgraded to a 5.7-liter V8 that rips out up to 395 horsepower and a spectacular 410 lb-ft of torque. The V6 comes standard with an eTorque system which will help improve the fuel economy by using a 48-volt battery. This system is optional for the V8. If you prefer a diesel-powered engine, you're in luck! The Ram 1500 has the option of a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that doles out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. But we have only scratched the surface with these engines, and the real power comes with the TRX engine! Under the hood of the TRX is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that scorches the pavement 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. Each trim pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and towing is no problem for the Ram as it can haul up to 12,750 pounds with a payload capacity of 2,300 pounds!
Spectacular Features for the 2022 Ram 1500
With six primary trim levels, the Ram 1500 has you covered for everything you can think of! Things start nicely with the Tradesman trim, which comes with 18-inch wheels, a 23-gallon gas tank, active grille shutters, coil-spring suspension, and trailer-sway control. In addition, each trim level comes with a Ram Clean Air System, which will filter out up to 95% of airborne particles as it catches out the pollen, allergens, and bacteria. On the Big Horn and above, you get the spectacular Uconnect 5 system with speeds that are four times faster than the previous version and comes with its Wi-Fi hotspot and tow-specific navigation. We also love the large 12-inch touchscreen, which has large icons and intuitive touch controls.
Special Edition for the 2022 Ram 1500
One of the best things about the 2022 version of the Ram 1500 is the vast number of special editions you can get! We are incredibly fond of the Limited tenth-anniversary edition, which comes with unique blue paint and polished 22-inch alloy wheels, plus quilted leather upholstery, a suede headliner, a jeweled shifter knob, and a 19-speaker audio system. Another edition that is worthy of praise is the spectacular TRX Ignition Edtion which has embroidered TRX logos and copperhead orange stitching. When you take a peek inside the cabin, you get features such as copper-colored carbon-fiber accents, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and orange tweeters. Finally, there is the Ram 1500 GT, which is available on the Laramie or Rebel, and comes with a performance hood, a black grille, GT decals, and a cold-air intake. The cabin is aligned with bucket seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum paddle shifters, and metal pedal covers.
